Common mode Choke, also known as Common mode Coil, is commonly used to filter Common mode electromagnetic interference signals in switching power supplies of computers. In board design, common-mode inductance also plays the role of EMI filtering, which is used to suppress the electromagnetic wave generated by high-speed signal line to radiate outward.

The common mode inductor is essentially a two-way filter: on the one hand, it must filter out common mode electromagnetic interference on the signal line, and on the other hand, it must suppress itself from emitting electromagnetic interference to avoid affecting the normal operation of other electronic devices in the same electromagnetic environment.

Chip common mode choke/Chip inductors are miniaturized wire-wound high-frequency inductors with ferrite and ceramic substrates.They are mainly used for high-frequency filtering and use frequencies from 100M to 2G Hz.
